india wins the first gold at olympics

It was about time.
Well who cares if we live in past glory and talk about how we won hockey 50 years ago. Who cares if we didn't even manage to qualify this time.

We should be proud that for a land of a billion people we have sent 55 athletes.
And we finally managed to get one gold.

I'm sure our people have heard of other sports than cricket [may be not]. Anyway somewhere in the future if we manage to repeat this glory in any event I would be happy.

have been busy playing Mortal Kombat, prince of persia (not the 2D version :)), call of duty, well mostly the games in which i can kill people :).

also work has been really hectic last month. I think i came home before 9 PM only 5 out of 22 working days. But have been enjoying it, lotsa learning, lotsa fun stuff, cool collegues and very cool bosses.

still recovering from my hangover from pre thanksgiving dinner. Even though i am a vegetarian, i ate like a pig. (not the turkey). this has been an ongoing tradition here, and i am happy that i was a part of this for the last 2 years.

oh man, i thought there is so much to write, turns out there isn't much :)

first week of the rest of my life

vathsa is a working man again :)
end of all the jeans, bracelets and jarring ear-ring days.
I finally have to say good bye to the things that gave me company for the last 2 years (if you count HP, then the last 4 years).
I have a permanent tattoo adorning my arm and thats that.

Don't get me wrong, I luv to work, the transition should also not be that difficult, becuase i have been working since i was 18 and now i am 26, so do the math.

ater that really boring introduction,
its time to move on and make some money, i don't want the world, but i want to have so much that i don't care who owns it :).

now i am just busy getting music and guitar classes. i luv to attend classes, but i guess i will currently settle for DVD's :). also busy hunting for apartments so i can have a place of my very own. lots to do and lots to look forward to, like the iron maiden concert next month in my very own city of new york, want to get the floor seats but they are sold out and the ebay prices are outrageous, a single ticket is being sold for nearly 500 dollars. i don't know if i am that big a fan of maiden and thats a huge conflict in my head because they are my favorite group in the whole wide world. so lets see how life goes in the next 4 weeks,

on the train today!

oh this was hillarious
I was on the train with latha and somya after a super full meal from this place called vatan.
for those who have not travelled in new york, the subways have L shaped seats, 3 horizontally and 2 vertically.

latha, somya and their mom were sitting in the horizontal seat and there was a lady sitting in the first vertical seat and me in the last.

when it was time for the lady to get off, she got up and the train gave a massive jerk. The petite lady was sitting on my lap with 2 of her bags with my hands on her back (not below!). the whole train laughed including me (ofcourse), Latha and the lady!

i thought only wierd things happen on the subway, guess i must be right :)
