Santosh and Rags are here

it was funny how they arrived,
santosh came with an extra baggage (literally) and Rags arrived in the night by about 10,
what was funny was the fact that Rags completely lacks the sense of direction, a 90 degree turn can be 360 degrees in Rags geometry book, anyway, thats another story. we had booked the Flushing YMCA, however, we cancelled it as the logistics could not be well arranged. so we all crashed at latha's place :)

we started off by putting santosh's luggage in latha's house and went directly to the greyhound office where Rags was supposed to appear. Once we picked him up, we went to the village, after searching for a few places, ended up in a open air restaurant, looking over to the streets filled with extremely happy people :), after a couple of drinks and some italian food and a little more browsing of the pubs, we went back home.

saturday was the day to remember, we planned we will take the ferry around manhattan and the statue of liberty, but since the starting that looked like a pipe dream. here's why, Santosh took bath for only 55 minutes and everyone got up by only about 10:30 in the morning. We, i.e, Rags, Santosh, Raj, Latha and me, finally left the house by 1 PM.

As usual, we started off with the air trin (Tram) from Rosevelt Island and walked to UN and then onto Grand Central, where Latha decided to head back home. we embarked on the reminder of the glorious journey to the Brave new world for few. We had good (long) time searching for the bull, well yeah, the Bull on Wall street, symbolizing the growth of the world economy. After a couple of photos and ice creams later, we had to search for the actual wall street, and we did, again after a couple of photos, we headed straight to south ferry and waited for the ferry, well, in between, Santosh and Raj were fascinated by the card games on the street. When we finally arrived at the Ferry, "IT HAD ALREADY LEFT", we missed it by about 30 mins. :)

That evening, we had dinner on another open air restaurant, with Rags getting fascinated by the venezuelan waitress, who infact handed him her phone number :)

Sunday

Sunday was Soumya and Vijay's engagement, since all of us were invited, we headed to VJ's house at about 11:30 AM, They had a wonderful ceremony and we all had a great time, well me more than others, coz i got a cool shirt :)
